Hello my name is Carlos, I am from São Carlos - SP Brazil
Yesterday I attended the film Seabiscuit, very beautiful I adored, one of the best films than I attended until today, I find until that the history could go beyond.
But what would like to know even is on what happened with Seabiscuit, if he died soon, or even like him he/she died. There is also on the jokey of the film if the scene in that he suffers the accident and break the leg was truthful.

Thank you
Brazil

Hi. I enjoyed the book immensely. You did an incredible job researching for this book. You presented the story as well as anyone possibly could. I would reccommend your book to everyone. You wrote an inspiring account of one of the greatest stories in American history. Thanks for you efforts. I finally got a chance to read this after so many years and I am glad I did.

I loved your book Seabiscuit; An American Legend, could not put it down. Being an avid horsewoman myself have wanted to read about other racing heros. I bought a book about Phar Lap and was totally excited to read it, but have been very disappointed by it. Could you please write a book about Phar Lap? And maybe Secretariat? And would love one about our Canadian Hero - Northern Dancer. Thank you!!

What an unbelieveable story! I was so engrossed in the book that I didn't want to leave the characters behind! What a wonderful story. People, and animals, who lived in another era, were brought back to life, in your book. Thank you for this wonderful book.

Hi Laura,
May I wish you a happy holidays and New Year. I loved your book. I also owned a couple of racehorses until I found out that the ones that didn't win cost as much as the ones that do. I am retired and spent 28 years in the Securities Industry. Over the years I have collected funny stories that happened to myself and different brokers. I would like to write a book in regard to these stories. I know there are more stories out there. How do I find people to find other stories?

Dear Ms. Hillenbrand:
I have just finished reading "Seabiscuit". I thought this was one of the most exciting books I have ever read. Now I know why the movie was so good, you were the advisor on the film. Did you know that Mr. Fitzsimmons used to live in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn for many years? This book not only made me laugh (when Seabiscuit teased the other horses) but also made me cry. Thank you once again, for a great read!
Sincerely,
Marcia Meckler

Once I was an exceptional runner. Later I had my dream horse, a thoroughbred off the track. Then I got ME/CFS. That was 12 years ago. Like you I have experienced those extremes of athletic power and speed then physical disability. Your book moved me as much as any I have ever read. If it were a novel, it would have my vote for the Great American Novel. You deserve even more credit, because like Pollard and Wolff, you battled such physical difficulties to bring this book "home". Thank you always!

I don't recall how long it's been since I have been so delighted by a turn of phrase or descriptions like I was when reading Seabiscuit. The information and anecdotes were fascinating. This book sucked me in, mesmerized me and kicked me back off it's heels(hoove's?) in the dirt. History was right in my hands and heart and played like a film in my head. Thank You, you excel as an author.

Consider using your connections with Univeral to suggest a movie about Secretariat and Eddie Sweat. Just read Horse God Made and watching old footage showing Eddie. What a GREAT story and TRIBUTE this would be. I hope you will take interst in this story...write the screenplay! It would be TREMENDOUS SUCCESS! Eddie and his family deserve it. Secretariat deserves it. Told from the Eddie angle it would be amazing.

I watched the movie the day beofore yesterday, seabiscuit and the people are all strong in that difficult period, they love the life and chose to face with unfortunity, and lastly they win. Just as the director told us in the end of the film, the economic crisis brought Americans not only the projects...but also the spirit, this why they overcome the crisis, defeat nazi, and become a super state power.

The story of Seabiscuit has lessons that every human being on this planet can learn from. As I read the story I laughed,I cried, I sat on the edge of my chair, I felt anger as well as joy for all four of the main characters.
All four, the owner, the trainer, the jocky and the horse were recovering from lifes knocks. They found death and resurrection with each other and as a team. If I were a teacher in ANY grade, I would have my student read and we would discuss "Seabiscuit"

I just finished your fanatastic book. I was surprised and interested to learn that Tom Smith had worked for CB Irwin. My grandfather, Ernest M. Green, was a native Wyoming cowhand and rode in Irwin's wild west show for several seasons from about 1910 to 1917. I have a formal portrait picture of my grandfather taken in New York City in the summer of 1912, when he was there with the Irwin Show. It is quite possible that my grandfather and Tom Smith knew each other.

I have just finished your book AGAIN for about the 14th or 15th time. I always enjoy reading this book. I do have a question if you can help me tho. I have often wondered if you or anyone else knows if any of the Biscuits Bloodlines still exsist ? I'd love to know. If you can answer this , I'd be in your debt. Thanks so much Lauren
